NAIP workshop inaugurated

Hyderabad, Aug 12 (UNI) National Agricultural Innovation Project (NAIP) National Director Mrutyunjaya today inagurated a one- day Stakeholders workshop of NAIP at National Academy of Agricultural Research Management (NAARM).

Speaking on the occasion here, Dr Mrutyunjaya said the vision of the project was 'science with social commitment' and contribution to agricultural growth rate to enhance the profitability, sustainability and competitiveness.

Emphasizing that the project referred to both creation and commercial use of existing knowledge, he said the main objective of the NAIP was to facilitate accelerated and sustainable transformation of agriculture in support of poverty alleviation and income generation, a press release said here.
