Muthuraman inaugurates Metaljunction's new unit

Jamshedpur, Aug 12: Tata Steel's Managing Director B Muthuraman today inaugurated Metaljunction's new office adjacent to the company's Corporate Communications office at Bistupur.

The new office of Metaljunction would now house its eSales and eSourcing divisions and all customers would be able to avail of its innovative services under one roof.

Metaljunction services limited (metaljunction), a 50-50 joint venture between SAIL and Tata Steel, is India's largest e-commerce company having transacted business of over Rs 14,000 crores and specializes in providing procurement and selling services.

Praising Mr Muthuraman's leadership quality, Viresh Oberoi, Managing Director of Metaljunction services limited said, ''We have grown at a CAGR of 177 pc and we plan to maintain this high growth rate. This will be achieved by creating and implementing new value added services for Tata Steel as the steel major expands its manufacturing capacity and seeks to retain its preeminence as the most profitable steel company.

''These new services will also be unrolled to the Tisgroup and the Tata Group companies who are based in Jamshedpur. The need therefore was felt to increase our presence in Jamshedpur which would also help us in providing superior care and service to our customers, he said.
