Mobiles, bottles banned at Red Fort on I-day

New Delhi, Aug 12: Delhi police has banned cell phones, cameras, bags, water bottles and transistors at the Red Fort during the 60th Independence Day celebrations.

''All those coming to attend the Independence Day celebrations are requested not to bring with them their cell phones, cameras, bags, water bottles, transistors as these items are not permitted at the venue,'' Special Commissioner (Security) Ajay Chaddha told reporters.

Elaborate security measures have been made in view of the heightened threat perception from terrorist organisations during the Independence Day.
