Flood situation under control as waters recede

Pune, Aug 12 (UNI) With decreased rainfall activity in the last 24 hours, the water-levels have receded and flood situation is under control now, Pune Municiapl Corporation (PMC) sources said.

The sources said about 10,000 cusecs of water were discharged from Khadwasala dam, while from Panset (3,418 cusecs), Mulshi (4,000 cusecs), Varasgaon (5,830 cusecs), Bundgarden (29,745 cusecs).

Meanwhile, the discharge of water from Pavna has stopped, the source added.
