EFI Vutek showcases superwide printing

Bangalore, Aug 12: EFI Vutek, the world leader in digital controllers, super-wide format printers and inks and print management solutions, along with Vutek, a division of EFI today entered Indian market today.

Talking to newsmen here, EFI Senior Director (Asia-Pacific) Craig Saphin said that Vutek has been an excellent addition to EFI's range of best breed innovative solutions for the commercial printing market.

'We are sure that Indian print professionals will be able to shamelessly integrate EFI Vutek products into their operations and thereby derive further cost and quality benefit from the rapidly growing graphic industry in India," he added.

Mr Saphin said that Super wide printing is gaining in popularity among printers as it increases revenue potential, and evolves new market opportunities, which integrate seamlessly with work flow.

The process also enables print shops to expand customers offering and client reach by satisfying traditional printing needs for collateral such as direct mail pieces and including new services such as banners, billboards, transit ads, exhibition graphics and more, he added.

He said that EFI Vutek soon offer the first of its kind bio-solvent ink, an environmentally friendly solvent ink for super wide printers made with renewable resources which will be branded under the name of BioVu ink.

Besides, the company has entered into an exclusive partnership with Codice Transfer Factory of Malaga, Spain for their Double System Control Visual Technology to be used in conjunction with Vutek's Press UV 320 UV flatbed printer, specifically designed to produce eye-catching graphic effects for interior and exterior advertising applications.

The company's current product portfolio includes the UltraVu product line-up for high quality and high speed printing formats using solvent-based inks.
