Undertrial escapes after cutting handcuff

Neemuch, MP, Aug 11 (UNI) An undertrial, who was undergoing treatment in the district hospital, has escaped after cutting his handcuff, police said today.

Satpal Jat was arrested while illegally transporting 1.20 kg opium in a truck six months back.

He was lodged in district sub-jail near Kanavati village. He was admitted to the hospital after he complained about chest pain on August 8, police said.

Satpal gave constable Rajpal Singh a slip and escaped last night, police added.
