Two persons killed in two diffrent incidents

Tiruchirapalli, Aug 11 (UNI) Two persons, including a rowdy element were killed in two diffrent incidents in the district today.

Police said ina gruesome incident, A contract labour of the Tamil Nadu electricity department (TNEB) was stabbed to death by a five-member-dacoity gang at Unniyur village, near Thottiyam, mere early today.

The deceased Duraisamy (52) and his wife Rajeswari (47) were in a sound sleep, when a five member armed gang entered into the house on the wee hours. When Duraisamy raised alaram, the dacoits stabbed him several times on his chest and stomach killing him on the spot.

The gang snatched the golden jewels of Rajeswari, who fell unconscious after seeing the horrific tragedy to her husband. Later, the gang escaped under the cover of darkness. Rajeswari was admitted to the Government Hospital at Thottiyam.

In an another incident, A Motorious rowdy element was hacked to death by a rival gang over previous enemity at Pullambadi village near here, this afternoon. The deceased Thirunavukkarasu died in a pool of blood on the spot.

Police have launched a massive man hunt to nab the assalilants of both the cases.
