'White paper on Romesh Sharma's political links'
New Delhi, Aug 11: Former BJP leader Madan Lal Khurana today asked the Government to table in Parliament a White Paper reportedly prepared by the Home Ministry in the late 1990s on the alleged ''political links'' of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim's frontman Romesh Sharma.
''The White Paper was to be released in January 1999, but was obviously suppressed or withdrawn because it contained information that could have embarassed many so-called senior politicians,'' he said while addressing a press conference here.
Mr Khurana reiterated that during interrogation, Sharma had revealed his links, among others, to a senior woman BJP leader and that the CBI had raided the premises of a senior official of Reliance Industries in the capital in connection with the probe in 1998.
''I want to expose these so-called modern BJP leaders,'' he said bitterly, hitting out once again at those at the helm in the party.
