SW monsoon vigorous over Guj

Pune, Aug 11 (UNI) The southwest monsoon has been vigorous over Gujarat region and Madhya Maharashtra and active over Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka and Kerala.

It has been subdued over west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Rayalseema and Tamil Nadu.

Heavy to very heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in Orissa, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Karnataka and Kerala. Heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat Region, Andman and Nicobar Islands and at many places in east Rajasthan.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in Lakashadweep and at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal Jharkhand, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Saurashtra and Kutch, coastal Andhra Pradesh and at a few places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, west Rajasthan, Marathwada, Telangana, Rayalseema, interior Karnataka and at isolated places in Tamil Nadu.

Heavy to very heavy rains have occured at most places in Madhya Maharashtra. Heavy rains have occured at most places in Gujarat region Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Andman and Nicobar Islands.

Very light rain have occured at isolated places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Haryana, Saurashtra, Kutch and Rayalseema.

Rain or thundershowers have occured at most places in Bihar, west Madhya Pradesh and at many places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Jharkhand, east Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, east Rajasthan, Vidarbha, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Lakshadweep and at a few places in west Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Marathwada, interior Karnataka and at isolated places in Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and mainly dry weather prevailed over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya and west Uttar Pradesh.
