Sensex open 32 points in the green

Mumbai, Aug 11, (UNI) The BSE sensitive index today opened 32 points in the green as the midcap and Smal caps sectors edged higher.

BSE sensex opened at 11,181.34 points and soon touched the high of 11,231.37. It is currently trading at 11,117.01 points which is 39 points less than the previous close.

Major sectoral indices were in a mixed state on the BSE. The midcap was up 0.66 per cent the smallcap was up by 0.96 per cent and the Banking sector was down by 0.95 per cent.

Major gainers on the index are NTPC, Ranbaxy and Tata Motors all up between 1.0 to 1.50 per cent.

Losers were Hindalco, ICICI and Bhjarti Airtel all down between 1.0 to 1.50 per cent.
