Security beefed up at refinery, power stations in Bihar
Patna, Aug 11 (UNI) Keeping in view the intelligence inputs and directions by the Centre, the Barauni refinary of Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) and power units of National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) in Bihar have been put on high alert.
Deputy Inspector General, CISF, Bihar, Jharkhand and Orissa, R P Thakur said here today that security had been beefed up at the Barauni refinery of IOC and the power station of NTPC at Kahalgaon and its underconstruction unit at Barh in view of the threats.
He said the thermal power station of Patratu and Chandrapura in Jharkhand and Aluminium factory of Orissa had also been put on high alert. The CISF was keeping a hawk eye on other vital installations in the three states.
Meanwhile, Inspector General (Headquarters) A K Sinha said alert had been sounded across the state and security had been enhanced in all sensitive areas and public places.
Earlier, two accused, including Md Kamal involved in 7/11 blast in Mumbai and an activist of SIMI, were arrested in Bihar.
