SAAP to conduct boxing championship on Independence Day

Hyderabad, Aug 11 (UNI)The Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) today announced that it would be conducting a Boxing Open Championship to commemorate the Independence Day celebrations on August 15.

In a press release here SAAP said the boxing championship was being organised at the Lal Bahadur Stadium Boxing Hall for the promotion of sports and sportsmen in the state.

In each catagory, the winner would be awarded Rs 500 and the runner-up Rs 250. The interested contestants could contact the boxing coach Omkar Nath Yadav at the stadium.
