Project to make village litigation-free
Kochi, Aug 11 (UNI) In a bid to make Kumbalanghi village, the Tourism village of the Kerala Government, litigation-free, the National University of Advanced Studies would launch a Clinical Legal Aid Programme to create legal awareness among the people and provide legal-aid to the deserving people in the village.
Talking to newspersons here yesterday, Vice-Chancellor S G Bhatt said, after preliminary survey, it was decided to launch the project in the village on August 15.
Dr Bhatt said ''The object of the three-fold project was to spread legal awareness, provide legal-aid to the residents of the village and eventually make it litigation-free.'' He said the project would be launched in association with local panchayat. The panchayat would be alerted of the societal problems, he added.
