Politics is nasty and challenging: Sudharshan

Jaipur, Aug 11 (UNI) Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief K S Sudharshan said politics has become the most nasty and challenging area and the only mantra for success is to be in direct association with the people.

Addressing a function organised to honour BJP leader Lalit Kishore Chaturvedi at the Birla Auditorium here yesterday, he urged the BJP leaders not to forget the fact that they were part of the same family and differences in the family should not be allowed to become a talk of the town.

Praising Mr Chaturvedi, he said even after being in politics for thirty nine years nobody could raise a finger against him.

Discussing the issue of groupism plaguing the political parties, he said it was not new in politcs but a true leader is judged by his ability to take every one along by understanding each one's caliber and entrusting them with responsibilities on merit.

Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje presiding over the function reminisced her association with the BJP leader and said Mr Chaturvedi would be known for his dedication and youthful energy even at this age.

State Home Minister and various other ministers were present on the occasion.
