Pant appointed CLP Secretary
Bhopal, Aug 11 (UNI) Senior party leader Kishan Pant has been appointed Secretary of Congress Legislature Party in Madhya Pradesh to fill the vacancy caused by the recent death of CLP Permanent Secretary Virendra Tiwari.
Leader of the Opposition Jamuna Devi issued the appointment order, says a party release.
Mr Pant was founder President of NSUI's Madhya Pradesh unit and later became state General Secretary of Youth Congress.
Subsequently, he was appointed PCC Joint Secretary when Mr Digvijay Singh was PCC President.
Mr Pant also held the post of Chairman M P Urja Nigam and Vice Chairman of M P Khadi Gramodyog Board.
