Mumbai, Aug 11: Utility vehicles major Mahindra&Mahindra, a part of USD 3 billion Mahindra Group, has received the prestigious MIS Asia IT Excellence Award 2006 - Best Security Strategy at the MIS IT Summit 2006 on August 3, 2006 at Singapore.

Announcing this, a company's press release issued today quoting Chief Investment Officer of M&M Arvind Tawde, who received this award on behalf of the company said: ''This is one more recognition of our concerted and involved efforts to make Information Security an indelible and necessary part of M&M's business culture.'' The Company already has the BS7799 Certification.

MIS Asia IT Excellence Awards are organized annually by MIS Asia, which reaches out to over 12,000 IT directors in South East Asia.

The evaluation process was carried out by a panel of senior CIOs, industry experts and analysts. The judging process covered detailed validation and evaluation based on the criteria such as project execution, business alignment and measurable results.
