MCD initiates steps to solve problems of senior doctors
New Delhi, Aug 11 (UNI) The chairman of the MCD standing committee Jai Kishen Sharma today directed that problems related to promotional and other service matters of doctors employed in hospitals run by the corporation be resolved.
Speaking after a meeting to resolve problems of promotion and other service matters of senior MCD doctors, Mr Sharma said senior doctors who were workimg for the MCD for last many years should not become junior to newly-appointed doctors.
He said to keep the morale of senior doctors, it would be better that rules be formulated in order to provide adequate seniority to doctors.
He directed additional commisioner (medical services) K D Akolia to examine the case at length and put up his recommendations ebfore the Standing Committee so that a decision could be taken in this regard.
He also directed that posts lying vacant in various ranks be filled up.
