Marine police station opened in AP
Machilipatnam,Andhra Pradesh, Aug 11 (UNI) Eluru Range Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) C V Anand today inaugurated a marine police station at Gilakaladindi, a seashore village in Krishna District.
Speaking on this occasion, Mr Anand said the state government had decided to set up six marine police stations along the coastline in the state.
This was the third marine police station. The other two were set up in Ongole and Nellore Districts.
The marine police station would work round the clock to guard the coastal line.
Krishna District Superintenddent of Police M K Singh also participated in the inaugural function.
