Lt Gen ZU Shah visits Manipur

Imphal, Aug 11 (UNI) GOC 3 Corps Lieutenant General Z U Shah is on a three day visit to Manipur.

Army sources said the General who visited Ukhrul yesterday was apprised of the security situation and the developmental projects under taken by Maj General B S Ghotra, IGAR (South) and Brigadier P S Ravindranath, Commander 10 Sector AR.

During his visit the General interacted with troops and lauded them for their endeavours and sacrifices made for maintaining peace and harmony in the state.

The Corps Commander also met eminent civilians, representatives of NGOs, social organizations and student leaders.

The people expressed their aspirations for Ukhrul to remain the most peaceful district of Manipur as well as their sincere appreciation of the good work done by the Security Forces in the area.

In return Lt Gen Z U Shah, assured them continued support of Security Forces for maintenance of peace and development of the area.
