Lawyers call off strike in Siwan
Siwan, Aug 11 (UNI) Ten days agitation, resorted to by the lawyers, ended today following intervention of Patna High Court as the district and sessions judge suspended a clerk, who had allegedly demanded money from a lawyer for showing the court records.
District and sessions judge Gopaljee Prasad suspended Akeel Ansari, a clerk of the court, who was on the fireline of the agitating lawyers for demanding money.
The agitating lawyers, who had boycotted court works, had also accused the district and sessions judge of harbouring corruption in the court by not taking stringent action against the erring clerk.
