Indian doctor wins Robert Olding award 2006

Mumbai, Aug, 11 (UNI) Deputy Managing Director of Dr Batra's Positive Health Clinic Dr Akshay Batra, is this year's recipient of the prestigious Robert Olding Award given by The Trichological Society of London for outstanding achievement and personal endeavour in the field of trichology.

He is the first non-UK based trichologist to receive this award.

Trichology which deals with the problems of the hair and scalp is gaining widespread popularity across the globe and India. The problems it deals with include hair loss, baldness, scaling of the scalp and itching of the scalp.

Dr Batra's Positive Health Clinic Pvt Ltd has achieved remarkable results with its hair loss therapies - having treated more than one lakh patients and in the process achieving gratifying results that have brought a smile to many faces, a release here said.

Mr Robert Olding, one of the first certified trichologists in the UK with over 50 years of experience, presented the award.

Dr Akshay Batra has recently been appointed Hon. Advisor to the Trichological Society for India.
