ICCL bags EEPC Star Performer award

New Delhi, Aug 11 (UNI) Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Kamal Nath today presented the Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC) award to Indian Charge Chrome Ltd IMFA group company, (ICCL) for an outstanding performance.

ICCL Director (Corporate) Jayant Misra received the award on behalf of the company in Chennai.

''The award is a matter of great pride for us as it underlines our leadership position in the country as the principal producer as well as the largest exporter of value added ferro chrome,'' ICCL Managing Director Subhrakant Panda said.

Mr Panda, however, added that with the commissioning of the new 27 MVA plant and the ongoing merger of ICCL with IMFA, the company is confident to register further growth in coming years.

ICCL bagged the award under the category of Star Performer in 2004-05: Large Enteprise-Ferro Alloys.

The award is given every year to meritorious exporters in various categories.
