Head Constable convicted

Hyderabad, Aug 11 (UNI) The special Judge for Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) here convicted and sentenced a head constable to six month rigorous imprisenment and a fine of Rs 100 in a bribery case today.

The ACB officials had arrested B Yadaiah of Sangeeva nagar police station for accepting Rs 1800 from the complainant on October 22, 1999.

In another case, the officials conducted simultaneous searches in the houses of K Chadrappa, senior auditor of State Regional Deputy Director of Audit here and unearthed disproportionate assets worth over Rs 43 lakh. The official was arrested.

He would be produced before the Special Judge for ACB cases, Hyderabad, a release from ACB here said.
