Congress leader welcomes decision on cola ban

Kozhikode, Aug 11 (UNI) Welcoming the Kerala Government's decision to ban the production and sales of Pepsi and Coca Cola, former Health Minister and Congress leader K K Ramachandran today called for similar action on other products of the MNCs in the state.

Talking to mediapersons here, he said the decision was silent on other soft drinks like Limca, Fanta, Thums Up, Sprite, Kinely soda and Maaza and urged the government to take steps to ban these carbonated drinks.

He said the government should also take action against the companies producing and distributing harmful 'pan masala' products in the state.
