CM instructs to remove Bhind Collector

Bhopal, Aug 11 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today gave directions to remove the Bhind Collector and suspend four other officials with immediate effect for providing wrong information about developmental works.

Mr Chouhan took the decision when he was provided wrong infromation during his surprise for inspecting water structures under the Jalabhishek Abhiyan.

The CM has decided to inspect the works done under the campaign in the districts every month besides sending senior state-level officers to the districts in this regard.

Mr Chouhan issued on-spot directions to suspend district panchayat Chief Executive Officer Moolchand Verma and Gohad Janpad CEO O N Gupta with immediate effect for producing wrong information about the works done earlier under the campaign.

It was disclosed to the Chief Minister by people and people's representatives that wrong information about the progress was being furnished to the government.

Mr Chouhan also directed to suspend Gohad tehsildar Vrindavan Singh for not disposing off revenue cases in time besides other irregularities. He also directed to suspend food inspector Chhote Singh.

During his visist, the CM found several revenue cases pending with the tehsil office. The cases were related to Habipura, Chadokhar Khanaita Belroa and other villages.

The villagers had complained to the CM about the ill-working of the tehsildar.

In pursuance of the villagers' demand, Mr Chouhan announced construction of the Chhimka-Endouri road and upgradation of the high school at village Khanaita to higher secondary one.

He announced financial help of Rs 10,000 each for two deaf and dumb girls of Habipura village.
