BHEL CMD bags Distinguished Fellow Award

New Delhi, Aug 11 (UNI) Haryana Governor Dr A R Kidwai today presented the prestigious 'Distinguished Fellow' award to Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) Chairman and Managing Director Ashok K Puri here.

Earlier, he was awarded the Eminent Engineer and Engineering Personality Awards by Institution of Engineers and Udyog Ratna Award for an outstanding contribution to the industrial development.

Mr Puri is a member of the Governing Body of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research.

Under his leadership, the company achieved highest ever turnover of Rs 14,587 crore with highest year-on-year growth of over 40 per cent in the last three decades.

The award is given annually to corporate leades and the top government officials for outstanding contribution in Corporate Governance and Corporate Social Responsibility.
