Athithan's condition still critical

Chennai, Aug 11 (UNI) Congress MP Dhanushkodi Athithan, who was grievously injured in a road accident in Tuticorin district on August five, continues to be critical.

''He is still supported by ventilator for breathing. He continues to be in a state of severe renal failure requiring renal replacement therapy,'' a release from Apollo Hospitals said today.

The bleeding parameters had not shown significant improvement and he is being closely observed and managed by a panel of specialists, the release added.
