Approach UN Security Council to declare Pak a terror state: Rajnath
Panaji, Aug 11 (UNI) Demanding stoppage of confidence building measures (CBM's) with Pakistan immediately, BJP president Rajnath Singh today asked UPA government to prevail on the UN Security Council into declaring the Islamic neighbour as the ''terrorist state'' forthwith.
''India should immediately influence the United Nations Security Council into declaring Pakistan as a terrorist state besides stopping all CBM's till Pakistan closes all terrorist camps in that country,'' Mr Singh said.
Addressing an impressive meeting of the party workers during his maiden visit to Goa this evening, the BJP chief blamed the UPA government for withdrawal of Prevention of Terrorists Act(POTA) enacted by the BJP government to check terrorism, resulting mounting of terrorist activities in the country.
Stating that the Pakistan' intelligence agency - Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) - was behind all the terrorist attacks including the recent serial blasts in Mumbai, he said the ISI had well established links with different terrorist groups besides naxalites in India and abroad.
