AP govt extends ban on Moaist party
Hyderabad, Aug 11: The Andhra Pradesh cabinet today decided to extend the ban on CPI (Maoist) party and its six frontal organisations which would expire on August 17 by a year.
The ban, which was imposed on the Maoist Party, Radical Youth League (RYL), Ryto Cooli Sangham , Singareni Karmika Samakya, Viplava Karmika Samakya, Radical Students Union (RSU) and All India Revolutionary Students Federation (AIRSF), a year ago would continue till August 16, 2007, official sources said here.
The state government had imposed a ban on Maoist Party and its frontal organisation on August 18, 2005 following the increasing violence by the Moaist party and its outfits in the state after the first round of ''peace talks''.
