Anna Hazare's health stable

Alandi, Pune, (UNI) The health of noted social activist Anna Hazare who is on a 'fast unto death' since August 9, in protest against the government's proposed amendments to the 'Right to Information' Act, is steady.

However, his blood pressure is still high, sources said here today.

Hazare's aide told UNI that the veteran spoke to activist Sandeep Pande today who has also undertaken a fast unto death in Delhi against the proposed amendments in the act. The two discussed various aspects of the issue and decided to intensify the agitation still further, the aide added.

District Collector Prabhakar Deshmukh and SP (Rural) Vishwas Nangre-Patil will be visiting the leader tonight, the aide informed adding that in view of Anna's rising blood pressures, a doctor was monitoring his health.
