NGO activists demonstrated outside Asian Development Bank

New Delhi, Aug 9 (UNI) Scores of protestors from various NGOs today demonstrated at the Asian Development Bank's country office in Central Delhi, on the occasion of 64th anniversary of Quit India movement.

More than 100 activists under the banner of People's Forum Against ADB picketed the office shouting 'ADB Quit India, Quit Asia Pacific', a statement said.

''We can survive without ADB and it stop plundering our natural resources,'' they said.

The demonstration continued for an hour before the police intervened.

The demonstration was a follow up of a series protests against international institutions like World Bank and ADB.
