Dismissed BSF jawan held for being ISI agent

Chandigarh, Aug 9 (UNI) A dismissed jawan of the Border Security Force (BSF) Mohd Razaq, who was reportedly working as an agent of the Pakistan intelligence agency ISI, was arrested in Ballabhgarh town of Faridabad district today.

A Haryana Police spokesman said that Mohd Razaq, who had been providing information about Indian Army secretly to a Pakistani national, was nabbed near the Ballabgarh bus stand by a police team led by DSP Bijender Singh, on the bases of a tip-off.

Razaq, a resident of Naharpur village in Mewat district, was dismissed from the BSF 16 years ago. He was being interrogated, the spokesman added.

He said Razaq had developed relations with Pakistani national Azad alias Khalid who had also been working for the ISI. Khalid was arrested from NIT, Faridabad on May 17 last. The Police had arrested three other persons Munajid, Mehmood and Haroon, all residents of Punhana for interrogation in this regard. Khalid came in touch with Razaq through Mehmood and Haroon.

The arrest of Mohd Razaq was expected to make more disclosures about the ISI activities in India, he added.
