Bihar assembly pass seven bills today

Patna, Aug 9 (UNI) Bihar assembly today passed seven important bills with voice vote amid boycott by the opposition.

The important bills, which were passed during the post-lunch sessions, were--Indian Stamp Bihar Amendment Bill-2000, Patna Municipal Corporation (Amendment) Bill-2006, Waqf Bihar (amendment) Bill-2006, Bihar Legislature officers salary and Dearness Allowance Bill-2006, Bihar Ministers salary and Dearness Allowance Bill-2006 and Chanakya National Law University Bill-2006.

The entire opposition objected to the bills labelling them insignificant and staged a walk out from the House.

These bills were later passed with voice vote.
