40 taken ill after consuming Barely in TN

Kancheepuram, Aug 8: Forty people had vomitted and fainted after consuming Barley at Madurantagam near here today.

Police said a few persons hailing from Natrambakkam village, near Madurantagam had feeded Barley to the villagers, in view of the 'Adi' festival celebration for Lord Amman.

The victims were admitted to the Madurantagam Government Hospital.

An investigation was, underway, police added.
