Yeshwant Thakare new accountant general for Goa

Panaji, Aug 8 (UNI) Mr Yeshwant N Thakare has taken over as the new Accountant General for Goa succeeding Mrs Sangita Chore who has been transferred to Mumbai.

Before taking over, Mr Thakare was the finance officer in the Defence Institute of Advanced Technology, a deemed university in Pune. He was also an executive committee member of the university.

As an audit expert Mr Thakare had served the government of Mauritius under ITEC programme between December 2000 and June, 2003.

He had also worked in Defence Audit for a long time,according to anofficial communique here today.
