Train passengers drugged and looted
Siwan, Aug 8 (UNI) Three passengers were drugged and stripped off their belongings while travelling in an air-conditioned coach of the Lichvi Express police said today.
They were returning home from work from the Gulf countries.
The victims were Quyamuddin of Hussainganj, Suresh Singh of Mirganj and Lalji of Narkotia village.
They worked as carpenters in Dubai, Oman and Muscat respectively.
A co-passenger of the trio offered them some branded soft drinks at Etawah last night during their journey from Delhi to Siwan.
They fell unconscious after drinking it, the trio told the GRP at Siwan.
After regaining consciousness they found they had lost their belongings, passports, travel documents and Rs 20,000 in cash,they complained.
Earlier, in a similar incident a passenger of the Awadh-Assam Express lost all his valuables and cash after being drugged by a fellow traveller.
