Three persons of a family commit suicide

Agartala, Aug 8 (UNI) A housewife and her two children were burnt alive at Madhupur area under Amtali police station near here today, police said.

Police suspect the incident was a suicide case. The housewife's husband is a daily labourer. She committed suicide due to a family squabble, police suspected. Investigation was on.

Meanwhile, police rounded up nine tribal youths under Ambassa police station in Tripura's Dhalai district today in connection with yesterday's ambush on police vehicle in which three cops were shot dead by the banned National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT-BM) at a remote village in the Atharamura hill ranges.

All the rounded up youths being interrogated.

Bodies of the all victims were sent to their respective houses.

Combing operation was on to nab the militants responsible for the attack on the police party just before a week of the independence day, police said.
