UPA cahirperson Sonia to visit flood-ravaged AP

Hyderabad, Aug 8: Concerned over the grim flood situation in Andhra Pradesh where the toll mounted to 105, United Progressive Alliance Chairperson Sonia Gandhi will visit the flood-hit state.

The Congress President would visit either tomorrow or the day after, official sources said, adding that she would speak tothe flood-affected people in the worst-hit districts of Khammam and East Godavari.

After telephonic talks between Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, the Centre had decided to send Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil to the state for an aerial survey tomorrow.
