Loyalty Solutions launches 'i-mint' reward programme

Bangalore, Aug 8 (UNI) i-mint, a customer loyalty and reward programme in cash, credit and debit transactions, was launched today by Loyalty Solutions and Research Ltd (LSRL), a company funded by ICICI Venture.

Announcing the launch, LSRL CEO Vijay Bobba said i-mint was the country's first national loyalty and consumer rewards programme under which leading brands like Airtel, HPCL, ICICI Bank, Indian, Lifestyle and MakeMyTrip.com had come together.

Customers using i-mind cards could reap benefits through the largest ecosystem of business partners in a single reward programme.

They could accumulate reward points and redeem it for various types of rewards for making purchases of products or services from the five partners, he explained.

Mr Bobba said i-mint was currently being launched in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Hyderabad. It would be available at 30,000 outlets in more than 20 cities across the country over the next one year. Five million members were expected to enroll in the programme in the first year itself.

He said ''i-mint is a beginning of a new marketing renaissance.

Coalition loyalty programmes have been a success in other parts of the world, mainly in Europe and Canada. LSRL has taken into consideration all the needs and aspirations of the Indian customer and created a quality product to suit all lifestyles,'' he added.

The rewards included beginners pilot course, mountaineering lessons, family health check-ups, iPods, sky diving, domestic and foreign holidays. The i-mint card would be available at a nominal one-time enrolment fee between Rs 100 and Rs 200. The company would be offering free membership, as an introductory offer during the first month of the launch.
