Four year old boy castrated in Bihar
Patna, Aug 8 (UNI) In a shocking incident a four year old boy was allegedly castrated by a son of a landlord at Mathura village in Araria district.
According to reports Pravin Singh, son of an influential landlord Bashist Narayan Singh, tried to sexually harass Renu Devi(19 yrs), the second wife of Jageshwar Mahto, when she went to a nearby field along with Suresh, a four year old child of Jageshwar's first wife Manju Devi(22 Yrs) on June 25.
But when Renu resisted Pravin, in a fit of anger, castrated the child and also thrashed him mercilessly fracturing both his hands.
Suresh also received injuries on his nose and other parts of the body.
'' Pravin also spread a canard that Renu, the step mother of the child, had committed the crime. Suspecting Renu responsible for the crime, Manju Devi filed an FIR against her in Narpatganj police station,'' Jageshwar said.
On the basis of FIR, police arrested Renu and sent her to jail and did not entertain Manju's request when she approached the police for withrawal of the case after she realised her mistake.
Narpatganj primary health centre referred the victim to Forbesganj sub-division which referred him to either PMCH or Virat Nagar. ''I am a poor person, I had no money to take my son to PMCH so I took him to Virat Nagar where I spent Rs 15,000 for his treatment,'' said the victim's father.
Meanwhile, Jageshwar managed to reach the state capital to meet Chief Minister Nitish Kumar at his Janta Ki Darbar for seeking justice. He, however, could not meet him as the Janta Darbar was cancelled due to the Assembly session.
Jageshwar with his first wife Manju and son are now residing at the residence of Narpatganj BJP MLA Janardan Yadav in Patna.
