Dalit forced to eat homan excreta, urine in MP

Chhatarpur, MP, Aug 8 (UNI) A 75-year-old Dalit was allegedly beaten up and forced to eat human excreta and drink urine at Lohapura village in this district, police said today.

Superintendent of Police Chanchal Shekhar said sarpanch Sevaram Yadav along with his 10 friends went to Paramlal Ahirwar's house on June 3. He was beaten up, forced to eat human excreta and drink urine.

The accused also asked Paramlal to give Rs 20,000 as extortion money or leave the village.

Mr Shekhar said a complaint was lodged in this regard on August 1. Police have registered a case and were on lookout for the accused.

However, the victim's son Ratiram said no action was taken.

A horrified Paramlal was unable to come out of his house even now.
