Anil Ambani to meet Bhattacharjee on August 18

Kolkata, Aug 8 (UNI) Industrialist Anil Ambani will meet West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee on August 18 to discuss investment possibilities in the state.

'' Anil Ambani will come here and meet me on August 18. We will discuss varioius possibilities of investments, '' Mr Bhattacharjee told reporters.

Though the Chief Minister declined to give details of the agenda for his meeting Mr Ambani, industry sources said a number of important ventures, including the proposed light rail transit(LRT) project, IT institute and health hub projects were likely to come up for discussion.

The sources said the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani group, of which Mr Ambani is the Chairman, had evinced interest in the LRT project, proposed to be implemented in Kolkata for smooth public transportation.

Two other projects Mr Ambani was reportedly interested in were an IT insitute at Kalyani and a health city in Nadia district. He has already signed a MOU with the State Government for setting up of a IT institute at Kalyani, the first private infotech university in the state.
