Air Deccan increases fuel surcharge

Bangalore, Aug 8 (UNI) Low cost carrier Air Deccan today increased the fuel surcharge to Rs 650 from the existing Rs 500 on all fares to all routes.

The new surcharge would be applicable on all bookings made today or thereafter and would not apply to tickets that have been booked or purchased in advance, an Air Deccan release here said.

The surcharge had been imposed due to the continuous escalation of jet fuel prices, the release said.
