20 people injured in a grenade blast in Kashmir

Baramulla, Aug 8: At least 20 people were injured in a grenade blast at Handwara in the frontier district of Kupwara this afternoon, official sources said.

They said militants hurled a hand grenade towards security force convoy at Handwara, near fire station, this afternoon at 1230 hours.

However, it missed the intended target and exploded on the road causing injuring to 20 people. The injured were admitted to hospital, they said adding six of the injured were shifted to Srinagar.
