Woman electrocuted in temple

Rewa, MP, Aug 7 (UNI) A woman was electrocuted this morning and more than 10 people were injured when high-voltage electric current passed accidentally through an old Shiva temple at Devtalab, about 50 km from district headquarters, police said.

The temple priest had taken an illegal electric connection from an overhead wire, due to which current accidentally passed through the tin roof of the temple. The temple was crowded with several devotees, as it was the last Monday of the holy 'Shravan' month.

Kusumvati (28) died in the incident. The injured were taken to Mauganj for treatment.
