Two students injured in shoot-out over ragging
Patna, Aug 7 (UNI) Two students were injured in a shoot-out over ragging in Science College under Pirbahor police station here today.
Police said the trouble started when a professor tried to restrain a group of students from ragging their juniors, which resulted in exchange of fire between his bodyguard and the agitated students.
When students tried to manhandle the professor, his guards opened fire on them in which two students, Mohammad Ali and Rohit Kumar, were injured, police added.
The injured had been admitted to Patna Medical College and Hospital.
Meanwhile, JD(U) member of Bihar Legislative Council and professor of the Patna University Dr Aslam Azad condemned the incident.
