Two die as boat capsizes in Godavari river

Eluru, Aug 7 (UNI) Two persons drowned when a boat ferrying them in the swollen Godavari River capsized near Polavaram in West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh today.

According to officials, the country boat carrying 11 people capsized at Kademma sluice near Polavaram on way to supply food to the flood affected people.

M Ramamohan and Miriyam Raja of Singannapalem drowned while nine others swam to safety.
