Three killed in group clash in Bihar

Bagaha, Aug 7 (UNI) Three people were killed in a clash between CPI(Maoist) activists and members of a gang owing allegiance to dreaded criminal Rudal Yadav at Banbarisankri Tola under Gobarghana police station in Bagaha police district late last night, police today said.

Police Superintendent Baldeo Prasad said here that the Maoists and the criminals clashed at Banbarisnakri Tola when the the latter exerted pressure on the villagers to prepare meals for them.

Soon an exchange of fire ensued between the rival groups in which three lost their lives.

The deceased included two criminals and a villager.

The SP said the Maoists also looted two guns and cartridges from the criminals. One body was taken away by the criminals, while the other body was seized by police.

Massive search operation had been launched, he added.
