54 Shiv Sena activists held in Tamil Nadu

Kancheepuram, Aug 7: 54 Shiv Sena activists were arrested last night for defying prohibitory orders.

Police said the accused took out a religious procession from Porur near Chennai to the district to 'uphold Hindu dharma and drive out foreign culture from the shores of the country.' However, they did not obtain prior permission from the police following which they were arrested when the 'rath yatra' reached here.
