Power cut 'trips' Assembly proceedings

Pondicherry, Aug 7 (UNI) The Pondicherry Assembly was today adjourned for 13 minutes following a power breakdown.

As the Question Hour was in progress, power went off suddenly and the generator also did not function resulting in the disruption of business.

Nothing could be taken on record due as the mike could not be used prompting Speaker R Radhakrishnan to announce adjournment of the proceedings till power supply was restored.

The House resumed at 1015 hrs after power supply was restored.
